The End

 Finally, the end of my internal attachment is just days away. We have stayed in school for such a long period that I even lost count of the number of days we've been here This provides me with a unique opportunity to reflect on what has been a tedious race against time. Logbooks to be filled, project to be finalized and hosted, certifications to be acquired and certificates to earn. All with the aim of equipping myself with the skills necessary for the present. Has it been worth it? Spending five days a week in a lab, scratching my head to a solution to a problem, waking up early each day to make it on time, did it matter or make a difference? All of it is debatable but what isn't, is the discipline that has been instilled into my very being. It is safe to say that I am now a new being. With laser-sharp focus and keen attentiveness I can confidently say that I can work even in the face of distractions. So, when all is said and done, and I leave in the end, I will be glad that ...

Time and Skill

When I started the Internal Attachment I did not envision how much I was going to learn. Three months later and I have learnt a lot. The hands on project provided me with an insight into how research is done before building a website. I have also learnt html, css and javascript. Their interconnection to make a seamless and stress free navigation for the end-user was also emphasized. Going to the depths of their usage was indeed a game-changer. Collaboration was another skill I have acquired in this long period. Working with a highly skilled and disciplined group was a blessing. We divided tasks amongst ourselves and accomplished much in a short time. Punctuality was slowly ingrained into my whole being and now it has become a habit I cannot quit.   I look forward to the person that will emerge at the end of the internal attachment. It's been long  and  I hope it will be worth it.
